Day 1 – Arrive Entebbe International Airport. Overnight at Lake Victoria Hotel.
Day 2 – Transfer by vehicle to Murchison Falls. En-route visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white rhino tracking. Visit top of Murchison Falls. Overnight at Baker’s Lodge.
Day 3 – Morning wildlife safari. Afternoon boat safari to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Overnight at Baker’s Lodge.
Day 4 – Morning wildlife and nature walk. Free afternoon. Overnight at Baker’s Lodge.
Day 4 – Transfer by vehicle to Kibale Forest National Park. En-route visit Fort Portal. Evening walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Overnight at Primate Lodge.
Day 5 – Morning chimpanzee tracking and visit to local community, or full day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience; accompany researchers and habituators into the forest to assist chimpanzees to become accustomed to human presence (which can take up to two years). Overnight at Primate Lodge.
Day 6 – Transfer by vehicle to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Free afternoon. Overnight at Kyamburu Gorge Lodge.
Day 7 – Morning and afternoon wildlife safaris. Overnight at Kyamburu Gorge Lodge.
Day 8 – Morning wildlife safari, or Lion Research Safari; join a local researcher to locate and record the behaviour of the lion pride being studied. Afternoon wildlife and bird safari. Overnight at Kyamburu Gorge Lodge.
Day 9 – Transfer by vehicle to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Free afternoon. Overnight at Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 10 – Trek to visit a mountain gorilla family in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Overnight at Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 11 – Transfer by vehicle to Entebbe.
Note: This trip includes a fair amount of driving through Uganda’s countryside. Alternatively, scheduled flights can be booked from Entebbe to Murchison Falls / Bwindi to Entebbe.
