Day 1 – Arrive Nairobi. Overnight at Emara Ole-Sereni.
Day 2 – Morning Cessna flight to Masai Mara. Afternoon game safari. Overnight at Cottars 1920s Safari Camp.
Day 2 – Full day private game safari to Masai Mara and the Tanzania border. Overnight at Cottars 1920s Safari Camp.
Day 3 – Morning walking safari. Visit a Maasai Village. Afternoon game safari. Overnight at Cottars 1920s Safari Camp.
Day 4 – Sunrise Hot Air Balloon flight over Masai Mara. Afternoon game safari. Overnight at Cottars 1920s Safari Camp.
Day 5 – Morning Cessna flight to Nairobi. Flight to Kigali, Rwanda. Overnight at Marriott Kigali.
Day 6 – Transfer to Akagera National Park. Experience the difference between a safari park in its somewhat infancy due to the genocide, to an older Masai Mara safari park. Afternoon boat safari on Lake Rwanyakazinga and continue safari by vehicle on Magashi’s private conservancy. Overnight at Magashi Camp.
Day 7 – Morning and afternoon game safaris. Overnight at Magashi Camp.
Day 8 – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Visit Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund with an 11-year veteran Volcanoes National Park Guide; and private educational talk and stories Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, and Dian Fossey. Overnight at Bisate Lodge.
Day 9 – Mountain Gorilla Trek. This exquisite adventure begins early and the tracking of a Mountain Gorilla family experience can take 4–6 hours, which at times may involve steep climbing. Once in the presence of a Mountain Gorilla family, the visit is strictly limited to 1-hour. Overnight at Bisate Lodge.
Day 10 – Golden Monkey Trek Listed as endangered, Golden Monkeys are beautiful primates with long golden facial hair and bright orange backs. Transfer back to Bisate and Kwanda Day Lounge to freshen up and have lunch before transferring to Kigali.
