UGANDA’S WILD FRONTIER

“Might be the most beautiful park in all of Africa”. – CNN

Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s most remote park and one of Africa’s last great wilderness areas. It has rugged savannahs, semi-desert plains, pristine wilderness, mountains and valleys, and it is stunningly beautiful. In the evening a million stars dot the sky.

It is home to 86 cheetahs, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, Nile crocodile and 463 species of birds, 60 species being endemic to the park.

The Karamojong ethnic group – believed to have migrated from Ethiopial 600AD – inhabit this area. They make their living as cattle herders and are similar in traditional ways as the Masai in Kenya.
